The coast is especially attractive for a day out with the whole family when the sun is shining.

Very well-known and loved on the Belgian coast is Oostende, and the makers of the TV series “De Redders” know this too; they chose the seaside town as the base for their new fiction series. Nearby, however, are the ‘real’ lifeguards who watch over the beach and sea from their ‘real’ lifeguard post, keeping a vigilant eye. Every day, 5 officers are present, and there are as many as 54 lifeguards and 8 first aid responders who can handle any emergency situation. The lifeguard post is therefore not just an observation platform, but also a crucial base and control center for the lifeguards and local police. The CEO of Warsco Units, Marc Warson, stated, “If the series 'De Redders' expands further in season 2 with additional crew and the lifeguard post becomes too small, they can certainly give us a call!”
